We've Arrived

The funeral will be on Monday.

Midway Point.

We've been driving since it happened towards Ron's hometown. We've just cleared the midway point. We'll be there tomorrow. We've contacted his father. He's told us where the funeral will be held.
Among Ron's things is a family photo he showed us. He's out of a family of five. His parents and his brothers. He wouldn't appreciate us infecting his family, so we'll just be attending the funeral and then leaving.

I have no clue where we're going after that, but Clarice and I have decided to stick together.

Ron... I'm sorry we couldn't save you. We dove right into Hell for you to pull you back out, but it still wasn't good enough. At what point did our efforts go wrong? What did we do wrong that brought this tragic end upon our friend? What can I do to make sure this outcome doesn't repeat itself should it ever happena again?

The last few days

We tracked Ron down St. Lewis and to the hide-out where he was poised and ready to have his memory wiped by redlight. Clarice and I entered the facility and stopped the procedure from happening. I would describe the exact means by which Ron's memories of his time haunted would be removed, but I can't recall for some reason.

The point is, after we freed him of the chair he was strapped to, he went berserk and fled the building, claiming that he had to get away from us before "He took over". We were in enough of a hurry that we didn't bother to capture or kill the redlight present, I'm afraid to say.

We couldn't catch up with Ron again after that, and I'm wondering what this "last option" is. I have a bad feeling about this and we have to find him quickly.

Experiment #11 Results:

Sorry for the lack updates, but we've been a bit busy staying alive and moving around.

Well, the symbol presented in E#11 Set-Up worked for a whole hour and not that well. Then Slender Man pursued us relentlessly no matter how fast Clarice drove the car every inch of the way home at which point we just barely made it into the hotel by running for all our worth.

It has really been putting the preasure on lately.

Look. I know I've been posting as if I were normal, but I've felt Him, always, ever since He last took me over. No matter where we go, no matter how far we run, I always feel and hear Him in my mind. It's maddening. I can't shake Him no matter how much I fight back. It's been getting worse, but it's come up a high point in these last fews days. I keep conscious mind active and I take Robert's concoction.

I've also been feeling the sickness. I can't shake this horrible cough. My dreams are also riddled with His presence. In my last one, a masky told me that the pendulum would stop swinging soon. Whatever that means. I feel like I'm at the end of my rope, guys.

I'm damaged goods. I feel if I were to confront Him again, He would win and I would endanger Pete and Clarice. So we've come to the mutual decision to have them be the ones to conduct the experiments. I'll hang back and hold down the fort. I also feel like I'm missing something. Well, I am. A big chunk of memories, but still.

Anyway, Pete and Clarice are trying out the newest symbol tonight. I'm to keep you guys posted here.

Experiment #11 Set-Up:

I managed to uncover one last variation of the Ichthus Symbol (any you can supply would be great).

Here it is:

We're going to try printed off photos of this, drawings of it, and drawings of just the fish. After this, unless someone had any other ideas, we're fresh out of Ichthus.

We're testing this sometime this week.

Experiment #11 Considerations:

What We've Found Out on Search and Reveal:

1. Standard Operator Signs hold Slender Man back for 24 hours.
2. It hates fish and Ichthus symbols.
3. The Ichthus-Operator holds it back for 28 hours, at the end of which It will be ready to kill.
4. It hates fish.
5. The Proto-Ichthys Symbol worked for 15-16 hours.
6. Decoys can able to fool It.
7. It cannot discern a masked person amongst a bunch of decoys.

As such, I am going to begin researching all variations of the Ichthus Symbol.
Also, before too long we will be able to test whether or nor Slender Man can follow a person into a body of water. Its loathing of fish and some implications discussed on M's The Tutorial imply that It can't.

I'll stay in touch and post what we decide upon for Experiment #11. Any suggestions on your part are welcome.

To Jakob: We've already made arrangements for if Ron is taken over by Slender Man again. Though it was an interesting venture into an S&M Store to buy some handcuffs.

Experiment #10 Results:

The results are incomplete, due to an interruption. The symbol was working, but we'll have to test it again to find out for how long.
Ron, I don't blame you for this. Don't beat yourself up with guilt like you probably are right now. It's like BL said, you just need some more time to break the bonds of the construct's hold over you.
